STAMPIN' UP! ACUTE PUNCHES TEAM FUNDRAISER TO HELP NEW ZEALAND EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS & CHRISTMAS CARDS FOR OUR AUSSIE DIGGERS IN COMBAT ZONES

Come along and help fundraise for Victims of the New Zealand Earthquake.

The Stampin'Up! Acute Punches team are combining their Annual Christmas card making event this year with fund raising for the NZ victims of the earthquake.

IT WILL BE HELD AT OURIMBAH RSL ON 3rd OCTOBER 2010 10am - 5pm

COST $40.00 pp

Cost include: christmas card making all day, 3 course buffet lunch, tea and coffee, morning tea and nibbles, all card making supplies, Lucky door prizes, fun games, prizes and a raffle.

What you will need to bring:

Your scissors, paper trimmer, punches and adhesives clearly marked with your name.

How it will work:

All monies raised on the day will be donated to card makers and or demonstrators in new zealand through our australian head office and new zealand office.

You get to make as many christmas cards during the course of the day as possible, the majority of your cards we would like you to donate to our australian troops that are deployed in combat regions throughout the world so that they may send them home for their families for christmas and of course you are welcome to take home some of your cards to start off your own stash for this year.

WE HAVE SET OUR TARGET TO MAKE 1,000 CHRISTMAS CARDS, THERE ARE CURRENTLY 3,700 ARMED FORCES PERSONAL IN PEACE KEEPING MISSIONS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD

All cards made will be taken to sydney by me to Karen Cumming who will deliver them to the Army barracks at holsworthy to deploy out to our diggers overseas in time for christmas.

STAMPIN' UP! DEMONSTRATORS BANDING TOGETHER TO HELP HUDSON - HOW CAN YOU HELP HUDSON ?

                

It’s true when they say that a little goes a long way, and I’m here to tell you about how a simple purchase of some fun -filled paper craft tutorials can give freedom to a little boy!
Hudson is 2 ½ but unlike most children his age, he has had a tough little life! Doctors realised he had an incomplete brain before he was born and as a newborn he was discovered to be legally blind. Hudson has recently been diagnosed with both Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy! His mobility has been hindered severely by his disabilities, however his family and friends wish nothing more than to give him the chance to get moving on his own. Hudson needs a special Wheelchair/Walker, called a Kid Walker. This device will help get him mobile, allow him to play with his brother and sister, interact with other children his own age and give him independence in his day to day life!
This is where the stamping world really comes into play! When a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are asked for help they come to the rescue, ink and paper in hand, to work miracles. This is what has happened around Hudson over the last few months. First with his mum’s direct team, and then spreading out across Australia and New Zealand and over in to the US, the UK and Canada! His story has touched so many people so its time to share it with you all!
There is a HUGE online stamping event taking place, called Helping Hudson -A Wheely Great Cause! The organisers have been working really hard, securing support, tutorials and donations to get this event underway. There are going to be three weeks of stamping fun for you to join in – come back as often as you can, there will always be lots more to see, do and learn. When you come on over to the blog you’ll find out all about Hudson, his family and his cause! But, more importantly, you can DO SOMETHING TO HELP HUDSON, at the same time as helping yourself learn how to make some great new paper craft projects. How? Hi there, a friend of mine recently had this logo on her blog, which caught my eye. Another friend of mine and fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Nikki Sadlier contacted me and asked me to spread the word. So here i am asking you to help us spread the word, so you ask how can i help ? Well visit hudson's website by clicking on the blinkies above and read how you can. If there is nothing else you can do, please consider adding his blinkie to your blog to help spread the word. It costs you nothing to do this for hudson except a few minutes of your time and could make a life time of difference to him and his family. So many charities ask for your donations and it is hard at times to always give. Here is a family doing it themselves, having a go, lets help them and make it a little easier as there is no goverment funding, no tax deductions, Just the goodness of your heart to gain and hudson to gain some mobility.
